Salvador Cortina

I am a Director at Grant Thornton Spain and I develop my activity in the corporate and transactional legal field, with more than 12 years of experience advising companies, multinational groups, investment funds and entrepreneurs in complex transactions, both nationally and internationally. Throughout my career I have accompanied clients in M&A processes, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, financing rounds, internal reorganizations and real estate transactions, as well as in the negotiation of contractual structures and shareholders' agreements in different sectors 

My work is especially focused on legal advice on transactions, including the direction and coordination of due diligence, legal and corporate structuring, design of legal solutions and strategic accompaniment throughout the process. I have worked in very diverse sectors – logistics, technology, real estate, industry, food and services, among others – which has allowed me to have a transversal vision of business and adapt legal solutions to the real needs of each client. 

In recent years I have advised on relevant transactions in the field of acquisitions of logistics and technology companies, financing rounds, restructuring and complex real estate transactions and, in general, legal support in the expansion of business groups in Spain, being secretary of the Board of Directors of various companies. I consider myself a professional oriented to trust, clarity and continuous accompaniment, especially during the most delicate phases of a transaction. 

My 12 years of experience have allowed me to acquire a solid technical foundation and a very practical approach to legal advice. Throughout my career I have also collaborated in internal training initiatives and in the Barcelona Bar Association, where I was a member of the Young Lawyers Group, coordinating commercial training focused on young lawyers.
