Aurora Sanz

I joined Grant Thornton in 2014 to develop the employment law practice, which today brings together a strong team of professionals in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Asturias, Vigo and the Canary Islands, and continues to expand and grow. Since 2026, I have also taken on the role of Managing Partner of Tax & Legal at Grant Thornton in Spain, jointly leading all the firm’s legal and tax services at a national level. This new stage aims to promote an integrated vision of legal and tax advisory, aligning capabilities and specialisms to offer our clients a coordinated, multidisciplinary service with a clear business focus.

Our approach combines legal advice, planning and strategic consulting, with the aim of supporting companies in complex decision-making processes, anticipating risks and providing legal certainty in increasingly demanding regulatory environments. We firmly believe in a comprehensive advisory model in which the different areas of business law work in a coordinated manner to deliver complete, close and tailored solutions that respond to the realities of each client.

Previously, I spent five years at Baker & McKenzie, where I was a partner in the Employment practice. I began my professional career in 1996 at European Legal Advisors, where I worked for five years.

I am currently a member of the Foro Español de Abogados Laboralistas and sit on the Board of Governors of the Círculo Ecuestre de Barcelona.

I am also recognised in the directories Best Lawyers and Chambers and Partners. In 2024, I received the Iberian Lawyer Labour Award for the best Thought Leadership project with our study “The challenge of generational diversity in Spanish companies”. This recognition was awarded again in 2025 at the Iberian Lawyer Labour Awards, consolidating the impact of this work and our commitment to promoting initiatives linked to diversity, equality and talent management within organisations.
