I joined Grant Thornton 10 years ago, coming from BBVA where I headed the Tax Advisory and Management Department for the entire Group. Previously, I worked at Arthur Andersen ALT (later Garrigues) until 1999.
I am currently a member of the Management Committee of Grant Thornton Spain and National Director of the Tax Practice. I am also a member of the European Tax Committee of GT International.
I have 30 years of experience in advisory and tax planning, having participated in expansion operations, investment and/or sale, restructuring, etc. practically in all business sectors, both nationally and internationally, but especially in the financial and real estate sectors.
I regularly advise my clients in other sectors like health, technology, and energy. I am characterized by my involvement in the technical work and my interest in connecting with all the client’s departments, in order to anticipate and achieve a comprehensive and optimal tax planning.
Furthermore, I have collaborated with the Tax Administration to facilitate and promote their dialogue with companies, facilitating collaborative procedures and reconciling the best practices of tax management and “Tax Compliance” within the management bodies of their clients.
I am and have been a member of several tax forums or institutions and I regularly participate as a lecturer and as a speaker at universities and business schools. I am also a frequent speaker at multiple conferences and conventions.
I like to inform and encourage the exchange of opinions through my articles in different media.
